Syd Baker was an early Maxalding Pupil

Gil Waldron, who contributed this picture, writes:

"Syd Baker did a stage act called 'The Man in Bronze'. It was a musical muscle control act similar to Tony Holland's but he stood in a black cabinet with overhead lighting. He was covered entirely in bronze paint. A further interesting fact was that he was the brother of famous actress & comedienne Hylda Baker. This picture was taken from 'Health & Strength Magazine' of November 1946. I saw him perform many times.
